Since 2002, euro notes have been printed by the National Central Banks of the Eurozone, with each Central Bank being responsible for and bearing the cost of producing a proportion of the notes.
Where are Euros printed or minted?
The Royal Mint in Madrid produces Spanish euro coins. It alternates with the Monnaie de Paris in France for the production of Andorran euro coins. It also minted some early Greek euro coins.
How is euro printed?
Printing. Just like the first series of euro banknotes, the Europa series of banknotes are printed on pure cotton-fibre paper, which gives them their special crispness and wear resistance. Certain security features, such as watermarks and embedded threads, form part of the paper itself.

Are first series euros still valid?
