Can I use my Social Security card to get a TWIC card?

When you arrive at the Enrollment Center, you must have appropriate documents to verify your identity. The best example is to have an unexpired U.S. Passport, your CDL and actual Social Security card.

What is the price for a TWIC card?

The fee for TWIC® is $125.25, and the credential is valid for five years. If you hold a valid Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) or a Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card, you may pay a reduced fee of $105.25. If you choose to pay the reduced fee, you must present your HME or FAST card at the time of enrollment.

Can a TWIC card be renewed online?

The Transportation Worker Identification Card cannot be renewed online. Applicants must appear in person at an enrollment center to renew their cards, and they must provide documentation that proves citizenship. Applicants may renew their TWIC cards at any time prior to the expiration of their current cards.

Can you get TWIC card same day?

Most applicants without disqualifying factors will receive their TWIC® cards in less than 10 business days. TSA does not offer next day or expedited delivery at this time. Under the TWIC law, there are “permanent disqualifying criminal offenses” and “interim disqualifying criminal offenses” that can result in the denial of a TWIC. Both types of disqualifying offenses only include felonies, not misdemeanors.
