Every credit card has a card security code printed on it. It may be called a CSC, a card verification value (CVV or CV2), card verification code (CVC) or card code verification (CCV), but you need to know what – and more importantly, where – it is.
Do all cards have a CVV number?
All credit cards and debit cards now have CVVs on them as a measure to help ward off fraudulent purchases made online or by phone. And while a CVV or CID code is harder to access than your card number, it doesn’t guarantee protection.

Where do you find the security code on a credit card?
